A70 MK3 Supra Front Sump Conversion Subframe

A front subframe that allows the fitment of a front sump engine. In most cases it is easier to move the sump location on the engine to the rear, however in some instances it is not. This subframe is engineered to give as much space as possible while still retaining as many OEM features as it can.

Construction:

• The subframe is constructed from mild steel, a mix of formed sheet, tube, and machined components TIG welded together. Its purpose is to offer plenty of rigidity while offering more space for the engine.
• The control arm mounts and steering rack mounts are machined from 6061 aluminum and anodized for maximum corrosion resistance.
• The lower control arm mounts are fabricated from mild steel
• The front knuckles and steering arms are machined from 7075 aluminum and anodized for corrosion protection
• The front knuckles feature press in steel inserts to make use of the OEM ball joints, which are machined from 4340 steel and zinc coated.

Features:

• The subframe converts the steering system from a front steer setup to a rear steer setup, and drops the steering rack 40mm for extra height clearance.
• Solid mounts in place of the OEM rubber subframe to chassis bushings.
• Original suspension geometry is retained, while making the inboard control arm mounts adjustable via shims to adjust geometry.
• OEM lower inboard alignment hardware is utilized to make easy alignment adjustments.
• Shorter, more obtainable upper inboard control arm bolts replace the proprietary OEM hardware.
• Control arm mounts make use of OEM or aftermarket bushings.
• Lower control arm makes use of OEM or aftermarket bushings and outer ball joint.
• Billet front knuckles drop suspension 40mm while keeping suspension geometry unchanged.
• Billet front knuckles feature bolt on steering arm for adjustable steering rate and Ackerman angle via replacement of part.
• Billet front knuckles make use of an OEM bearing cartridge for easy service.
• Billet front knuckles make use of OEM ball joints and tie rods for no hassle bolt on assembly
• Billet front knuckles feature M6x1 threaded connections on outboard face for brake dust guard
• OEM Sway bar location and end link mounts
